This is a wonderful place to stay! It is super clean, comfy bed, lots of hot water for showers, and a well appointed kitchen. The location has tons of things to do nearby such as beach, waterfalls, nature walks, restaurants and pickleball.
We spent over a week in this wonderful, spacious, and well-stocked house. It's in a very peaceful, rural, stunning location. Our time there was exactly what we were looking for in a vacation - restful and restorative with hiking on and off the property (Ha Ha Tonka State Park has a numerous trails and is only about a half hour away), and wonderful small businesses nearby. The community is peaceful and friendly. The pictures don't really do this rental justice.
Wow, the pictures do not do justice. Our jaws dropped when we walked in the house. Beautiful rooms, balconies, pool and ocean view. Beach towels, laundry, and a well-equipped kitchen were huge bonuses, especially compared to the AirBnB we stayed at in La Fortuna. Monkeys playing in the trees welcomed us the first morning and with our bird-watcher friend we spent a lot of time on the balconies identifying toucans, hummingbirds, frigates, social fly-catchers, etc. Download the "Merlin" bird app before you come which identifies birds by their sounds. Ebird.com will track your birds for you and there were binoculars by the TV. At night we turned off all the lights and it was an amazing dark sky area for looking at the stars from the balconies. One night there was a lightning storm out at sea which was spectacular. We played a lot of pickleball at the four covered courts at Invictus in Uvita 10 minutes away. We went to Hermosa Playa close by in Uvita and if you are a surfer or want to learn, this stretch of beaches is for you. Linda Playa was highly recommended, but we didn't make it there. If you don't do anything else, GO TO THE Nauyaca waterfalls! They have a truck that drops you off for two hours so you can swim and picnic at the base of the falls. So fun, get reservations. Dominical has the best restaurants and is close. Go to Cafe Mono Congo for coffee and pastries on the river, Mama Toucan's next door has great coffee and take out pizzas and sandwiches, and Fuego Brewing dinner in the treehouse around the corner was a great experience. So much more but will leave it at that. Everyone in our group said it was one of the best trips they had taken. It is a steep, rocky road up to the house like many places in that area because of the topography but we quickly got used to it. Make sure to rent a 4x4.
Wave song is a beautiful villa in a peaceful setting! It could just as easy be called birdsong! The house is very clean, well maintained and has comfortable beds. The layout is great for many guests with en suite bathrooms and amazing views from each bedroom. The pool is a perfect place to cool down. Mornings on the balcony are ideal! The kitchen is well stocked. It’s a quick drive to amazing beaches, stores and restaurants. We’ve stayed here on two separate occasions and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
We went during rainy season (mid November) and boy did the name ring true. It rained 90-95% of the time we were there, some of which was torrential. We spent our time reading on one of the many patio/balconies, swimming in the pool in the rain, drinking coffee in one of the many shops/restaurants, cooking and enjoying time in the kitchen with the windows open, talking with the toucan that frequented the tree near the balcony, walking the beach in the rain during low tide (1pm if I remember correctly), and playing in the waves in the rain (beware of riptides at the beach near the house). Even with ALL the rain, I would take the exact trip with the same weather again (RAIN=NO MOSQUITOES). The ac in the bedrooms is perfect to give a break from the humidity. Highly recommend getting to the house during daylight the first time. There is a roadway to heaven that has a blind hill and in the dark not knowing what to expect was a bit terrifying. Make sure you have that 4wd vehicle or you aren’t making it up the hill. Book it or the villa on property and you WILL NOT be disappointed.
WaveSong is a beautiful home with views that you don't want to leave! We stayed here in late November and loved the home. It has everything you need, the kitchen is fully stocked and the living spaces are comfortable. The bedrooms are all very spacious with great views and comfortable beds. My kids especially loved the pool. One of my favorite parts of the trip in full was sitting on the veranda enjoying the view and listening to the waves and the birds. The property is surrounded by gorgeous flowers and we saw monkeys, iguanas, and a large variety of birds. Its a quick drive to either Dominical or Uvita or the many small beaches in either direction from the house. My family also enjoyed both the movies and the games provided. You'll quickly realize you don't want to leave, we ate more meals here than we had planned because we enjoyed the space so much. The house was incredibly clean and very well maintained. I would quickly recommend this home to friends and family and we would certainly return if in Costa Rica again!
The property is beautiful and was perfect for our family vacation. Love the layout and we plan to come back.
Every thing was will kept and clean, easy to access and had no problems while we were there.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our visit at Bears Den 2. The rustic decor is relaxing and the location is perfect. We spent two days hiking and fishing in Rocky Mountain National Park and were only minutes away. The cabin is so close to town so the restaurants and shops were easily accessible. We have visited Estes Park a few times and this cabin was one of the best.
The cabin was clean and cozy. We had no issues whatsoever during our stay. The location was quiet but still close to Estes that we had no problems getting what we needed while we were there. Would definitely go back.
